SATELLITE OF LOVE

Last night, via satellite, I was in the presence of This American Life host, Ira Glass. Also in attendance were TAL contributors: Dan Savage, Starlee Kine, and Mike Birbiglia.

This episode induced laughter, tears and chills.

I’ve been a devout listener of TAL for about 8 years now. I stand firmly when I say This American Life is the best program. Ever.

This poster was promotion for the 1st season of This American Life on TV. While some long-term listeners of the radio program were not thrilled to see it transform into a visual format, I disagreed. The compelling stories combined with the best cinematography blows me away.

Also awesome, Dick’s band, Landing, has been played on a TAL episode, Ruining it for the Rest of Us – about 30 minutes in.

TO POSTPONE OR DELAY NEEDLESSLY

I slacked off today. Rather than being productive, I went shopping. This is me, trying on a sweater I thought was kind of cute.

The good news is: I did not splurge. In fact, I left the shops empty handed. How’s that for being recession-savvy!
